Noise Gate Zine# 2(Macedonia) = Paganfire Interview.

I take no credit in spreading this shit. hope Paganfire won't be pissed off at me for posting this., hehehehe. This is actually my first zine ever and one of the major inspirations for me to start my own zine 2 years back. Of course as I said, things like school and life just got in the way and postponed my idea's of publishing my thoughts on paper.

Woah, this is really good news to me. more foreign bands, more info to soak up! yes,yes! Atomgevitter is a Scottish thrashpunk/rawcrust band that kicks ass, Roddy also plays for Black Sister and writes for a zine called Ploppy Pants.

Hereafter(Malaysia) - After Tomorrow

When I read/hear about a band being composed of only 1 member I automatically think of it as inferior(not counting TxHx and Midnight though! Haha), Redza the sole mastermind of Hereafter has proved that I'm stupid and should FOAD with my earlier assumption with his sick musical competence and prowess in things thrashy. on to the musik, the vocal phrasing can't help but remind me of Darkness(Ger) but the vokils itself sounds like a  Toto(Living D.)/Angel Dust/Abbath/Mustaine mix that grew on me quite easily. He does an overall good job with writing badass riffage,solos and singing about dystopic themes,futuristic doomsdays and evil mechanical invasions.fuck yeah! the misc. intro/outro mid song samples seems as though they came from cool videogames. Hereafter is a straightforward no bullshit more than talented project heavily influenced by Teutonic thrash from the 80’sm as always there is no reinventing the wheel here. This particular demo has 4 songs, 1 of which is a minute long intro. This is their 1^st and its good, Gonna hafta write to this guy for all the ones I missed. (3.8/5)

Package stuffs and random incoherent babblings..

Underground trading of tangible stuff is just sooooo coooooooooool I'll never tire of partaking in such a pure act driven by passion for music! the special feeling one gets when ripping a package open from some far off place to know what's inside is just priceless!

after exchanging some e-mail's w/ Fadzil of Muzikbox Prod from Malaysia we traded some stuff and I told him to send anything at any amount as long as its old school influenced and I received some goodies from him in the mail today. I was like "HA! awesome!"

I haven't gotten around to listening to all of it as takes some time for me to absorb music.

what else... what elseeee......aaaaah!

I had a really great time over at the yadu bagstore last sunday. Two touring Australian units played their last leg of their Philippine tour there, a self proclaimed sludge rock band Dead(which sounded more on the noisey experimental rock thingy on my ear but still fucking heavy and kickass man!) and Onion a 1 woman drone project.  It was fun to see a show very different from the ones I usually go to, the local bands all delivered ripping sets with outstanding performances the ones that really sticked to my mind was the first band Caitlyn Bailey(?), Monochrome and Legarda,(got a copy of a comp. cd-r of their live songs ripped from crapsalad vids from their frontman, awesome.) Missed Eyes of Fire though :(

and I traded with this guy at the dead show and got a copy of his 1 man black metal/crust thingy project that I like. its really great. can believe this shit was made by a fellow 16 yr. old. mindblowing qualities of originality and skill. don't mind the nazi imagery I think he's just fuckin round.

I guess that was all the major shit that happened since the last update....
Also one of my favorite local hxcx punk bands TBOD(the beauty of doubt) has once again been put to hiatus for 6months due to work overseas...Aarghhhh. here's to waiting 6 more months!  also the MAIM collective gig was fucking awesome! and I know I use that word a lot blame it on a limited vocabulary of positive words to say about something but it was fucking awesome!!!
