Top 5 Dream jobs

Do you remember the early 00's romanticomedrama film High Fidelity about a guy that owned a record store played by John Cusack about his past and current relationships? He had the two most awesome employees. Jack Black of Tenacious D fame as rude as fuck elitistic snob Barry and Todd Louiso who plays indie awkward geeky guy Dick, he also plays a similar character obsessed with Jazz on Jerry Maguire. High Fidelity is an awesome american film adaptation of a cool Nick Hornby novel of the same name..

I watched the movie again for the 15000000 time and realized unlike Rob I didn't have a list of top 5 dream jobs ( If time and money were no object) so I got my marker and piece of paper and started writing shit that first made its way into mind.

Whats your top 5 dream jobs? Excuse the sloppy writing, i did it in 1 take.

I'm feeling kind of a useless blogger today since I haven't posted anything music oriented for a while...

I'm gonna go and copypasta something from IRH's blog.

voila.

Lineup looks so boss. Will definitely go, I got so stoned last time that I slept through Eyes of Fire's set. Hopefully get to watch fully this year and maybe write about it. I got to watch Staid for the first time on
HTB's(Half the Battle) comeback show at cavite, there were immature fights at that particular show but it was kickass to watch awesome bands like Play, HTB, Staid, Towards The End,Bystorm and TCC rip through their sets. forgot all the others but pretty much everybody ruled and got to watch all of them..

 See you! at! The! Show!

Might bring copies of the new Paganfire/Karimlan 2011 Tour Diary for those interested
that I will be finishing up cut and pasting when the interviews get back to me.

Cheers!

/rant for all of us creepars out thar

I hate how this blog is slowly becoming something for my thoughts and there' isn't enuf mehtulz in it.
hopefully this month'll change that when a few of the bands I interviewed/will interview get back to me and when I start reviewing records...

But in the meantime a stupid rant...

I am sick and tired of people hounding others and I at how creepy, sick and twisted people are for their occasional preference in young wimmin.
what's creepy is when people supress and demonize something that's comes naturally to some people like they're supposed to feel bad because somehow its so fucked up and unthinkable to appreciate something like "young girls" in this modern age of ours.
I mean God forbid someone likes Anna Sophia Robb, Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning and Ariel Winters! (not their best pics but whatever) Oh noes!  Is it such a “punishable by death” crime If some guy don’t drool over fake, bronzed, blonde, surgically enhanced, playboy centerfold types? Who’s idea was it to have a set idea of what constitutes for beauty anyway?

I post clean pictures of Lolita’s at usual “post pics of women” threads at multiple metal forums and people seem to get highly offended and freak out whenever a dude says an under-aged girl say about 13-16 years old is drop dead gorgeous and epic looking at all of the forums.

I find it ironic that in an underground sub-culture such as ours, a genre of music despite it being pioneered by distressed social outcasts, built on teenage angst and anti-authoritarianism,a reaction from alienation we still got people from the same fold telling us that we’re creepy fucks for being different! It’s the same shit as when you’re classmate tell you you’re weird for listening to your noisy ass “satan music”! I mean come on! WTF! We’re not prematurely sexualizing young girls and we’re not objectifying women unlike Sports Illustrated fuckers! well at least I’m not. I'm Just appreciating their innocence and beauty at their peak!(Okay did I just get creepier/weirder? Is the FBI tracking my IP right now? Is the party van outside my house?  Don’t bother I’m a minor and have dynamic IP! Access Denied Mofo’s! :P )

Okay my dialogue is getting a bit more risqué as this rant gets longer. Hey don’t get me wrong I like over 18 women too! Zooey Deschanel,Mila Jovovich, Natalie Portman, Devon Aoki, Thora Birch,Mila Kunis, Meg Ryan,Catherine Zeta Jones,Scarlett Johansson, young Jamie Lee Curtis  and the list goes on…. And besides! Since when did people get so fucking sensitive about this matter? You need to take a chill pill and look at Sweden(NSFW) and Spain( wait did I just make a pedobear joke? :P).

I mean as long as some guy don’t act on his urges and morally wrong impulses and keep his shit to himself nothing is wrong with him, I mean in the end isn’t that what separates us from sociopaths, pedophiles, psycho’s and people that need to get rehabilitated? Our morality?( Not that morality is absolute, its fucking relative, not everybody conforms to western thinking.)
I’m gonna leave you now before moralfags( /b/slang) gets here. Just keep in mind that pedophiles are sexual predators with an insatiable desire for weak willed garls not people who unabashedly admit that certain underaged girls are fucking beautiful.(I'm gonna shut up now before you look at me differently) :P

Peace out!

Random Music Insight.

IMO

What's missing in general music today is the poetic sense, the revolutionary attribute and the political power it holds. Back in the 60's, 70's, 80's./ You had people changing how other's think, act and feel. Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, The Clash, Crass, Billy Bragg and countless others who have had so much impact not only in their respective fields of music but in culture and how everything is perceived as well. Conventional society has really fucking fucked us over by dumbing down and brain washing everybody to accept radio programmin as the be all and all one stop shop for their musical tastes and that really friggin bugs me man, cause as a kid these days you can't hear music that really means something unless you have an awesome parent, uncle friend etc. and that's pretty rare. We need more people like Allen Ginsberg, Jim Morrison, jello Biafra. Outcasts, poets, Vagabonds, free spirits and thinking men and women.

But no. The plummettng quality of mainstream music over the last 2 decades is just painful to be present, to experience and see as it influences everything around us. Kids are dumber, dress shittier, moral values change ideals and aspirations become shallow(everything else does these days, only the pockets of politicians are deep as ever)  I'm sure there's no direct correlation between music and other aspects of living. but I'm sure a 12 year old kid who looks up to Eve Libertine or Poly Styrene growing up in a violent environment over Britney Spears or Vannessa Hudgens will turn out much better than another who idolizes the latter. This can't be helped since people have been more and more tolerant on what MTV, V & 101.1 Stations shove through their ears.

As always I hope for a struggling artist, poet, deadbeat, burnout or anybody to tap into something and change the flow, the world needs it right now to, as Led Zeppelin puts it on an epic fantasy themed track "Bring The Balaaaance Bacckkkk! "

Haha....

Fuck it... Just remember boy's and girls!! Rock and roll is for the people! Its the music of the revolution! NOT for Rockstars drugged up, snorting cocaine at the back of a limo!

Infekted Mind Zine Interviews some unimportant fat bastard.

Hello to all 4 people reading this! haha, I'm still very much active. just haven't had the time to write because of stupid normal life. I just bought a customized bass guitar w/out any marks/brand for 500PHP(roughly 10$) its heavy as fuck and can probably used to bludgeon someone to death. I've been practicing my ass off to learn the whole Rush,Yes and Peter Gabriel Era Genesis haha but I'm so shitty at everything so I probably won't be doing that for a while...

This week Joey from local punk fanzine Infekted Mind asked me a few questions like he does with most of the local fanzine people. I've read most of his stuff over the net( Infekted Mind ) and I wanna get some of his issues. Go check it out.

Here's the interview for those interested, It was soo cool answering this because I never value my own opinion that much and I never would have thought someone would be interested in what I have to say. So fuck yes WTI is inspired because of this hehehe. "We" Will continue on w/ Issue #2 and will post an in depth interview sometime this month with Jervish and Victilator of local thrash band Rabies cause they have just been so awesome this year. Also will have contributor(s) for the second issue so stay tuned! this issue will be heaps heaps better heaaaapsssss I tellsya. I rarely compliment my work so let me off with a warning this time haha!

  • Infekted Mind Zine:

Can you pls introduce yourself and can you tell the readers something about your zine?
    • We The Infected :

Hey there Infekted Minds! hehe. I am Carlos Lanzona from Las Pinas City/Philippines! I am the sole guy that writes and makes up We The Infected fanzine, basically the zine is about passionate old school metal and punk rock styled music + a few of my personal thoughts about everything under the sun be it religion, music and so on down on paper. I give it away for free or donation but prefer trade. contributions + articles about anything are welcome too!

IM: What influenced / inspire you to make your own zine?

     WTI:

The local anti-poseur/anti-trend DIY thrash band Paganfire inspired me to be part of underground networking because I find the concept fascinating, pure and just real non bullshit stuff.. Nonoy, Axeman of PF is probably like my mentor or something. he gave me my first zine Noise Gate#1 from macedonia and I've been collecting zines ever since. Paganfire ideologies play a huge role in my POV they have the proper diy mindset. I'm a raging fanboy, they rule.

    IM: Zine's that influence you?

     WTI:

I Remember Halloween, Konspirazine, Incidental Afterthought and Aspire zine is a huge influence specially Aspire they had a line that said "If you don't like this zine by all means do your own" or something like that... I liked Jay's zine very much and did my own version as well! hehe, I remember halloween is soooo goood. The consistent quality is awesome Dane is epic, lets just leave it at everybody is awesome. sir Jep
    and Wordslinger great zinesters.
(Check them out their blogs are on the left side of this site)
    IM:
How many issues have you release so far? Any future release?
    WTI:
Only one so far,the first issue is a bit shitty and all over( ideas scattered as fucked) featuring interviews w/ thrash and punk bands, but I'm working on the second one right now. We the infected will never stop unless my arms get amputated and fed to alligators and even then I will try to learn to type w/ my feet.

    IM:
what can you say about our local zine scene today?
    WTI:

Even though I think I'm not part of the punk scene because I don't know many people and don't listen to as much punk as I do heavy metal. I really LOVE the local d.i.y. punk/hardcore scene very much because its filled with unbridled energy no showing off and just playing their hearts out.. Same w/ the punk/hxc zines they rule. I don't like the xerox/paper metal zine scene so much outside of the now dormant ones like TRDNT NTN and METAL HAVOC because its too expensive and clinical/cold IMO. Also most of them I don't like the genre's they tackle since I only listen to punk, thrash, speed and heavy metal and non-metal, if you were to spread propaganda you should make it top priority for the message to be access-able. I haven't read WOD and IDP though so no comment on them, but they've been wayyy established before I
    was born( i think) hehe..

    IM:
    your goal?

    WTI:
My goal is just to write and write and write and when I get to a point where I piss too many people off, I probably am doing the right thing. I think there is too much apathy in the metal scene right now. Lots of things need to be noticed like how some so called Metal Pioneers or old schoolers have these cult of personalities, everyone is clinging on/listening to their unproductive procrastinating bullshit opinions and rants and living off that example when we should start thinking for ourselves, not let anybody command our way of thinking and break those respect barriers when all they do is just cling on to their past glories and boring tired stories of who's more metal and old school whilst corrupting the airwaves, magazines, T.V. and other forms of media with their putrid negative bile without doing anything worthy of praise up to the present. these things hold us back as a community and need to be abolished as soon as possible for us to run more smoothly be it as an individual, production, collective or as a music/radical/political/whatever scene as a whole. Out of all of pioneers I respect sir Paul Magat a lot he's awesome and cool still very relevant up to this very moment.

    IM:
    shouts / hate's/ email / website

wti:
Salamat nang marami tol sa interest for this interview!
If some of the answers are too long pare okay lang i-edit para
umikle or to fit the pages of your webzine/fanzine pasensya na nasa
writing mood kasi ako ngayon joey, I know u understand hehe. :)
Thanks again for the interest! Long Live Infekted Mind!
Smash The Borders, Smash The Orders!

We the infected say's no to 800PHP TRC tapes, capitalism, hate,
trends, bigotry and racism! equality for all and metalpunk forever!
